In the world of sport, 2010 has brought along some changes to the World Anti-doping Agency (WADA) Prohibited List. This is a friendly reminder of these changes to ensure that everyone in the Canadian sport community is aware and informed as we embark and strive for another successful year in sport.
Pseudoephedrine has been reintroduced to the Prohibited List effective January 1, 2010. Pseudoephedrine, a stimulant commonly found in over-the-counter cough and cold medications, is prohibited in-competition only.
A list of prohibited and permitted cough and cold medications is available at www.cces.ca/athletezone.
